OUR CLASSES EXPLAINED

JUDO TOTS

Introduce your little ones (Age 4-7) to the exciting world of Judo with our Judo Tots program (currently only Saturday mornings at 9am). Designed specifically for our youngest participants, Judo Tots offers a fun and interactive environment where children can begin to explore the fundamentals of movement and technique. Through engaging activities and gentle guidance from our experienced instructors, your child will develop coordination, balance, and awareness while having a blast on the mat. It's the perfect introduction to martial arts for your budding athlete!

Our Judo Tots class is integrated into our Junior Judo program with mixed ages on the mat (max age 8), which caters to younger players who may not be ready for the main junior classes. While sharing elements like warm-ups and games, Judo Tots also have dedicated time tailored to their age and skill level, ensuring a developmentally appropriate experience.

JUNIOR JUDO

Tailored for young enthusiasts, our Junior Judo program (Mondays, Thursdays or Saturdays) provides a dynamic setting where kids can delve into the essentials of Judo. Led by our skilled instructors, children will learn fundamental techniques, cultivate discipline, and build confidence in a supportive and energetic atmosphere. The Age range for Junior classes is from 8 up to 17 (some older children can transition over to seniors if invited).

SENIOR JUDO

Elevate your judo skills with our Senior Training sessions, held twice a week (Mondays & Thursdays). Delve deeper into the intricacies of judo alongside fellow seasoned judokas in a focused environment. Under the expert guidance of our instructors, refine your techniques, enhance your tactical prowess, and elevate your overall performance on the mat. This class is suitable for beginners as well as seasoned Judo players, a welcoming club that looks after each other we have a full range of grades from white belts up to black belts. You can book Senior Judo once a week or you can book 'Twice A Week Senior Judo' making a saving on the class costs for our best value deal!

Training Fees

Our training fees operate on a monthly subscription basis, processed through debit card payments. The subscription is flexible, allowing cancellation at any time without being tied to minimum terms. Kensho Judo Club follows this payment structure to accommodate the monthly operational costs of the club, which persist regardless of individual training schedules.

 

Available Extras

For adults wishing to participate in Judo twice a week, the monthly fee is £55 (£6.88 per class). Additional training days for children can be arranged with a 50% discount for the additional day, please speak to Sensei if interested. Workshops, including Pay & Play sessions, are individually priced.

 

Additional Costs

The club offers Judo uniforms (judogi) for purchase. An annual British Judo Association license, providing insurance and enabling participation in grading and competitions, can be obtained through the BJA website (mandatory after the trial period). Additionally, there are grading fees for the two yearly grading sessions, allowing for progress and advancement in Judo skills.
